Born and raised in Belgium, I fell in love with hospitality at 18 as a valet at the US Grant in San Diego. My journey has taken me from the stunning slopes of Park City to Washington, DC followed by a 10 year stent on Maui. I’ve held most hotel-related management roles throughout my career, from Rooms to Food and Beverage and Sales. After a five-year adventure in sales and taking the role as Market Manager Hawaii for Duckhorn Vineyard, I returned to the mainland with my wife to rejoin my first love: hospitality. This led to my third stint in Park City, where I joined the fantastic team at Deer Valley as their General Manager Food and Beverage.
Throughout my career, I pride myself on leaving properties better than I found them, boosting team morale and efficiency while creatively identifying areas for improvement. I find joy in creating new guest experiences and have been fortunate to be part of opening teams for new hotels and restaurants.
I love everything about the ocean—surfing, diving, floating, and simply admiring it—but my first love has always been the mountains. In winter, you’ll find me in the backcountry with my split board, searching for untouched snow, while summer brings mountain biking and rock climbing adventures. I’m also passionate about music and enjoy playing the drums and guitar. You might even catch me headbanging to my favorite songs while driving—making me the guy you can’t help but stare at as you pass by! Joining the team at Leisure Hotels and Resorts has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, right alongside marrying my amazing wife!
